Thank you one | and all. . Ernie Kettle. GUIDERS ATTEND TRAINING SESSION Last Saturday seven Blue and Brown Guiders attend- ed a training session in Marathon. At 9.30 a.m. in the Recreation Centre workshops commenced with May O'Brien of Fort William leading the Brown group and Margaret Looney, Fort William leading the Blue group . Both groups learned new rules, ideas, games and songs to encourage respective packs and compan- ies. Following lunch at the Everest Hotel, the ladies enjoyed a tour of the mill by Ed Jensen. The annual meeting was then held in Trinity Anglican Church Hall attended by eighty leaders and personnel of the Guide Movement in Northwestern Ontario . A delicious turkey supper at St. John's United Chur- ch was served by the Land Rangers of Marathon . A social hour followed with singing in which were included many new songs learned that morning led by Mrs. Daniher . The leaders derived much benefit from their training the annual meeting and exchange of ideas with other leaders. Attending from Terrace Bay were Jones, Mary Brant, Phyl Boutlier, Danielle Salesse and Elaine Long. Assisted by her bridesmaids-to-be, Deborah Boyd and Sharon MacDon ald. Alice Jean opened a wonderful array of gifts from many friends and well wishers of whom more than 2ighty were pres- ent. The hall and chair had been decorated by the teen- agers who also served the buffet lunch. Convenors 'ncluded Mrs. S.Boyd, Mrs. Marg Anderson, Mrs. Cora Majkiewicz and Mrs. Alice Farrow. Mesdames McKechnie and Williams, mother and future mother- in-law of the bride received with her.
