COMMUNITY CHURCH children 9--12-- .50° students & adults $1.00 PANCAKES AND SAUSAGES SERVED HOT FROM THE GRILL MERTES - MARSH NUPTIALS IN WISCONSIN A wedding of local interest took place in Knapp, Wisconsin at 3.30 p.m. on December 3! when Avis Jean Mertes, daughter of Mrs .Floyd E.Mertes and the late Mr.Mertes became the bride of L. William Marsh, son of Mr. & Mrs. Harold Marsh of Terrace Bay, Ontario. The ceremony was held in the Methodist Church with Rev. Nielson of Brown Deer and Rev. Crandall of Knapp, Wisc. officiating. Given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Eilef Bradford, the bride was radiant in o gown designed and sewn by herself. Ivory delustered satin, topped with a layer of ivory French net and appliqued lace, was chosen for the dress which had a sleeve- less fitted bodice and a slight A-line formal length skirt. A French net coat bordered with lace applique which fell into a train topped the dress. A matching fez shaped head piece completed her ensemble and she carried a cascade of white stephanotis. The bride's attendents were her sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Lee Kuester, (Matron of Honor), Mrs.Mary Lou Bradford, (Bridesmaid), her niece Miss Mary Lee Bradford, (Junior Bridesmaid), all of Menomonie Wisconsin and Miss Marilyn Marsh (Bridesmaid) of Terrace Bay, Ontario. They wore identical gowns, formal length, of olive green crepe in empire style, the bodice emphasized with glass tear drop beading . Matching head pieces were delustered satin bows. with net and each carried an off-white poinsetta bouquet. The groom's attendants were Jack Marsh, his brother; Robert Winkelman and Jack Vacarro. Immediately following the ceremony, over two hundred guests attended a reception in the church and in the evening guests were entertained ata dinner party held at the Coachman's Inn in Baldwin, Wisconsin . Attending from Canada were, Mr. & Mrs. H . Marsh and daughter Marilyn from Terrace Bay, Ont- ario, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Marsh and daughter Jody from Oakville, Ontario. From Chicago were Mr. & Mrs. Ed Tymura; from Milwaukee Mr. & Mrs. J. Vacarro and Mr. & Mrs. Robert Winkelman. The couple left for a honeymoon cruise to Nassau .
