Vol.10 No.2 KIMBERLY-CLARK MILL SAFETY SLOGAN Winners of last week's safety slogan were Ernie Kettle, Andy Dejonghe, Art Connors, Ed Belliveau and Neil Nesbitt. One person missed the slogan. Developing an awareness for safety requires that we include safety measures in everything we do, both on the job and off the job. Safety is not something that can be switched on when we start work or switched off at the end of the work shift. Safety is a way of life that must be part of us at all times. Remember this week's safety slogan: BE SAFE - AT ALL TIMES ON THE JOB - OFF THE JOB LOCAL MEN SERVE ON CANADIAN PULP & PAPER ASSOCIATION COMMITTEES J.Shivas and H.Coe have completed a two year assignment of active participation on the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association's Technical Section Alkaline Pulping Committee. During their terms of office John served as the Chair- man of this important Committee and Harry as the Committee's Secretary. C.Gorham has been appointed to a one year term as a member of the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association's Technical Section Chemical Engineer- ing Committee. J. January 23-24-25 in Terrace Bay January 19, 1967 Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Company's delegates to the ahnual Canadian Pulp and Paper Technical Section meeting in Montreal during the week of January 23rd. At this meeting W.Farrell will lead a discussion on the employment of Technologists within the Pulp and Paper Industry. W.J.FARRELL HEADS HIGH SCHOOL BOARD The Board of Trustees of the Terrace Bay High School held its first meeting of the year on January l0th at which W.J.Farrell was elected Chairman, A.N.Chisholm was named Vice- Chairman with the following working committees set up - Property: C .Linton; Publicity: E.Cruick- shank; Expansion: A.Chisholm and W .Farrell; Contracts: W.Farrell, E.Cruickshank and L. Waghorn. The Terrace Bay - Schreiber Steering Committee has been set aside temporarily so that Terrace Bay and Schreiber can meet and discuss the possibilities of developing a working agreement. Should such an agreement be established it would provide the opportunity for Terrace Bay and Schreiber to expand the curriculum of both schools without the need to create a District High School Board.
