Enter now in the Northern On- tario 5-Pin bowling champions, conducted by the bowling proprietors association of Ontario. Trophies and prizes by Labatt's - men's singles, ladies' singles mixed teams. Date for these championships is Satur- day and Sunday, Feb.25th and 26, at the Empire Bowling Alleys, Sault Ste.Marie. The tournament is open to all league bowlers in Northern Ontario. The first class will be held on Saturday, Nov.5th in the large room of the Recreation Centre. MINOR HOCKEY NEWS The new president, Lester Legault, presided at an executive meeting on Friday, October 28th. Safety will be stressed this year and all players will be required to wear helmets and to make sure their hockey sticks are in good condition. Registra- tion fee will again be $1 - for the year-end banquet Registration forms will be given out at the schools. Insurance will be available, if all consent to it, for about $1 per player--for protection - teeth, travel- ling for outside games. Coaches are urgently needed so come on fathers, these are your boys--let's get behind them and help all we can. Minor Hockey will be selling nuts again this year before Christmas, so please help support your boys. As a result area Liberal M.P.s have asked the Program Committee of this founding convention to allot time for a thorough discussion of these and other issues.
