August 4, 1966 Ny ; WEIBEN'S CELEBRATE 25TH WEDDING ANNIVER- SARY Mr .and Mrs .O .Weiben of Superior Airways and Motel celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary on July 26th with a family reunion and dinner party. They were recipients of numerous telegrams and gifts among them an oil painting of a local scene from the family. Those present were Mr.and Mrs.R.Webster (dau- ghter Elizabeth) of Shebandowan, Mr.and Mrs. Bruce Oldham (Kay), of Toronto, sons Donald and Howard of Sioux Lookout, Miss Roberta Weiben of Fort William, Miss M.Chabert of Sioux Lookout, Mr.and Mrs.G.Beals of Fort William, Mr.and Mrs. R.Cotton, Mr.and Mrs.A.Rengert and Miss Joan Rengert, Vickers Heights, Mr.and Mrs.R.Bicknell of Fort William, Ronald Warnick of Flin Flon, Misses M.Kaketchewan and Mary Baxter of Nakina. Chief Lawrence Mushqush of Pays Piat reserve attended a meeting of representatives from the In- dian Reserves of Thunder Bay at the Lakehead last week, sponsored by the Ontario Learning Assoc . to plan the second Thunder Bay Indian Folk School. The school will be held at White Sand Lake Junior Ranger Camp from Oct.2nd to 9th. Enjoying the weekend at their summer home were Mrs .Grace Bruley, Russell Bruley, Mr.and Mrs.A. FISH WINS ROSSPORT DERBY , Paul Larsen of Rice Lake, Wisconsin took first prize $100 last wee with a 12 Ib. | oz. Lake Trout - much larger than any reported the previous week. Paul Krizan of Can- more, Alberta went home with $50 in prize money for his 9 Ib. 15 oz. fish and Dick Larson, also of Rice Lake received a merchandise vouch er from Chapples Itd. in Schreiber and a year's subscription to Field & Stream for his 6 lb. trout Guests of Mr.and Mrs.M.Hubelit last weekend were Mrs.Mavis Gerow and sons, Mrs.J.Knorr and baby and Alvin Abbott, of Fort William. The Eugene Gerows had Miss Kathy Durham and Cameron Minor of Fort William over the weekend. Mr .and Mrs.Felix Legault have returned from Fort Fr ances. Mr .and Mrs.John Park and grandson, of Hamilton, Mr.and Mrs.N.Palmer of Pine Falls, Man., were guests of Wm.Molinski this week. Mr.and Mrs.E.Rochon of Coldstream, Ontario have taken up residence here. Mrs .C .Todesco had her cousins Zelda and Howard | Gilman of Midland, Michigan visiting her last week. S.Diller and family of Minneapolis, Minn., arriv- ed Friday to spend a month at their summer cottage. Mr .and Mrs.Peter King and son of MacDiarmid were recent guests of Mr.and Mrs.Eugene Gerow. Mr.and Mrs.Peter Testori had as recent guests, Mr.! and Mrs.F .Austin and three daughters, of Kimberly, B.C., Mr.and Mrs.Tony Minoletti and Mrs.George Watchler of Port Arthur. 'Mr.and Mrs.Geo.Kyseth of Clarion, lowa are holidaying at their summer cottage at Selim Beach. Mr.and Mrs.H.L «Carr, also of Clarion are on holiday at their summer home at Selim. Mrs .Mary Dewar of Fort William is holidaying with her daugh ter and son-in-law, Mr.and Mrs.J.'White and family, of Winnipeg at her summer home here.
