There was a good turnout at the wiener roca? held at the beach which nicely finished the day's activities. The junior golf lessons which began last eat were received enthusiastically by a large number. As mentioned before this series of free lessons will be for four weeks, after which a junior-adult tournament will be held. PLANS READY FOR CENTENNIAL PARK Landscape Architect Mr.Bert Sitch of Plum Grove Nurseries has completed final blueprints of the proposed Centennial Park in Terrace Bay. These indicate the park will be one in which Terrace Bay residents can take great pride. The first steps were taken when Ontario Hydro sprayed the area last week to kill existing vegitation. A sketch of the park area will be published at a later date. With this large a project a definite Parks Com- mittee is required and chairman Ed Cavanaugh has called for an urgent meeting of interested people from the town to form this committee. The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 14th at 7.30 p.m. in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre. Mr.Cavanaugh requests that all Centennial representatives from each and every organization attend this meeting. Rev.and Mrs.T.G.Husser-and son Donald have left for a vacation which will take them to London, Aylmer and Niagara Falls.
