The Honda was won by Armand Huard of Mara- thon, the bicycle by Jimmy Clavelle and child's car by Louis Czoupy of Zenmac Mines. Ermel presided for a regular meeting of the public library board. One borrower was notified that one book in his possession was far overdue and another re- turned was so badly mutilated it would have to be replaced. Two other borrowers were no- tified their overdue accounts will be placed with a collector unless immediately settled, A copy of every new book from Canadian Publishers or agents will be on display .twice| yearly in the Port Arthur public} library, District librarians sent} to make selections at these dis- plays will be given financial as- sistance by the regional library. The legislative grant of $700 was received as part payment of 1966 grant. The Quetico folder on Sum-| mer Arts and Camping was or- dered and the New York Book Review cancelled. McCuaig GRADUATES HONORED AT HOLY ANGELS The following graduates were honored at closing exercises for Holy Angels' Separate school: Marjory Bolan, Estelle Chicoine, Rolande Courtemanche, Peggy Fournier, Monica Gauthier, Cathy McLellan, Rosemary Mc- Parland,, Noreen Needham, Linda Power, Dale Sisson, Anne Marie St. Jean, Neldine West, James Comeau, Albert Courte- manche, Teny Figliomeni, Joe Figliomeni, Danny Godin, Greg MaclIsaac, Ivan Martin, Justin Martin and Pat McParland. _ The welcome address was given by Pat McParland follow- ed by four selections by the school choir. Graduates presented their last will and testament, a humorous bequeathing of various traits of- students handed down to others. Certificates were presented. by Rev. J. M. Cano. Proficiency awards wefe pre- sented by the Knights of Colum- bus and the Catholic Women's League. The valedictory was by Joseph Figliomeni. Marjory Boland received the S-ario trophy for school spirit. Sr«cial gifts were presented by the graduates to Father Cano and to teachers and others who assisted during the school year. Awards were also presented in grades ote to seven for profi- ciency. Mrs. H. Fleming was guest speaker. The evening ended with a dance. A. Speziale announced that a $25 award presented by the Women's Institute for competi- tion in grade 8 in both. public and separate schols for high- est standing had been won by Pat McParland. Mr .and Mrs.Charlie Holmes have their daugh- ters Miss Carol Holmes of Toronto and Mrs .Robt Dunville and baby Lisa of Nipigon visiting them, also Mr.and Mrs. Jim Waters and daugh ter Kath of Toronto. Mr.and Mrs.Don McLeod (nee Jean Rattray) and family, of Sudbury, are visiting Mr.and Mrs. Jack Rattray. Mrs. Jeanette St.Pierre and Mr.and Mrs.John Branchaud are in St.Louis Marie Demontford Hos- pital, Montreal Rd. Ottawa. Mr.and Mrs.Harry Eaton and family arn visit- ing in Toronto.
