Our group is involved in a panel debate at the conference and have a strong debating team, led by Roger Rajotte. The only dis- appointment the Teen Town Club had was in pro- curing chaperones to attend this conference. The Conference at Red Rock has teen clubs from all parts of Northwestern Ontario attending, and all are accompanied by at least two chaperones. The Teen Club was almost forced to cancel their registration for the conference due to disinterest of parents in acting as chaperones. Many parents have expressed concern on previous occasions about chaperones accompanying our youth groups to social and athletic functions out of Terrace Bay. It was reported in last week's News that Elizabeth Hayes had been successful in passing her Seventh Canadian Figure Skating Association Test. This should have read "C.F.S.A. 7th Test, Figures. Mr.and Mrs. Arthur J.Connors, Terrace Bay, Ontario, announce the engagement of their only daughter, Constance Mary, to Kalevi Arnold Hukkula, elder son of Mr.and Mrs. Arnold Hukkula, R.R.#1 Kaministiquio.
