He expects that his wife and five children will join him soon in TOWN TOPICS i MEN'S CHORUS TO PRESENT CONCERTS The winter months of rehearsal will soon.reach a climax as the Terrace Bay Men's Chorus under the direction of Mr.Bert Lohr and accompanied by Mr. Carl Rose, repare to sing out. With a repertoire of songs from Sacred to Western, the chorus will take part in a numb er of concerts during the month. On April I8th they will sing at White River--on April 22nd at Terrace Bay--on the 23rd at Wawa and on the 29th at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The latter event will bring together eighteen choirs whose combined voices (over 500) will join in mass singing. For many years the Chorus have worked hard and untiringly to reach a high standard of performance and they richly deserve the support and apprecia- tion of all residents of the district. CATHOLIC GIRLS CLUB MAKES PULL-TAFFY The Catholic Girls Club met on Sunday, March 20th in St.Martin's Parish Hall. The meeting was preceded by Reciation of The Rosary in the Church. The business meeting opened with a prayer for teenagers by president Diane Campbell. Secretary Claire Belliveau read the minutes and reports were given. Spiritual Convenor Lita Marie Boudreau read an interesting article on how Lent was observed in Austria many years ago. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer and Father Gallagher imparted his blessing. The girls then enjoyed a taffy-pull. After only a little more than a year in Terrace Bay, Ken and Edith Chard with Sheila and Barbara, are moving on April 14th to Campbellford where Ken has been transferred by the Hydro Commission. At the Hydro Bonspiel on February 19th Ken and Edith were presented with steak knives by friends, neighbours and fellow curlers, with their best wishes A welcome is extended to Ken's successor, Dan EASTER BONNETS MADE BY DISTRICT LADIES Twenty-seven ladies from Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Marathon attended a millinery course arranged by the Recreation Association with Mrs. Muriel Lazowy as instructing.
