« F ebruary 24, 1966 THE NEWS Page 7 who work in hospitals as voluntary aides. Their uni- form consists of a pink and white striped dress and low heeled shoes. These girls work after school and on weekends, giving help to all those who need it. Their only pay is the smile of a contented patient. After two hundred hours of service, these girls re- ceive a cap, much like a nurse's cap. Wherever they are, Candy Stripers seem to have a cheerful outlook on life. Their main purpose is to bring happiness and comfort to all around them. | In contrast, Hell's Angels are a destructive group that roam city streets or ride around on motorcycles. They wear no specific uniform but always carry switch blades. They are never hired to destroy or molest, but do so of their own accord, completely demolish- ing homes and sometimes killing people. These teenagers have a desp¢rate attitude towards life. They seem to feel that the world is against them They corabat this feeling in the only way they know-- by plundering all that would help those they hate. Their aim seems to be to hinder people from attaining any really worthwhile goal. For instance, in such a state as Florida or California, a group of Hell's Angels will rent a house for a week or a month. Within two days, all that remains of the building will be a little stray piece of furniture that has escaped damage. Their code appears to be to destroy where- ever possible and to despise and reject all forms of authority. At first glance, we might be inclined to say that there is little similarity between these two teenage groups. However, after thinking (continued page 8) Aluminum is the most abundant metallic element in the earth's crust forming more than eight percent of the solid portion of the crust down to a depth of ten miles.
