GIRLS The Catholic Girls' Club held their meeting on Sunday evening, February 20th, in St.Martin's Church Hall, preceded by recitation of the Rosary. The president, Miss Diane Campbell, chaired the meeting. A prayer to Teen-Agers was said by all attending. Guests of the evening were the members of the Canadian Girls in Training. After a brief meeting the two groups held a discussion on questions issued by the C.G.1.T. on the Catholic religion. A film strip concerning the Mass was shown by Rev .Dean E.A.Gallagher and further questions were answered. A delicious lunch was served at the close of the meeting convened by Paulette Nichols and Christine Chepelsky . The local association to Guides and Brownies will hold a meeting on Monday evening, February 28th at 8.15 in the Community Churck Hall. XMAS CARDS PACKED BY LADIES AUXILIARY The afternoon group of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Community Church held their meeting Monday after- noon February 21st, in the Sunday School room. Mrs.K.Graham chaired the meeting in the absence of the president, Mrs.M.Dorland. The secretary- treasurer's report was read by Mrs .L. Harris. The opening hymn was accompanied at the piano | by Mrs.J.Ferrier and Mrs .H.Brooks lead in the Worship. Many projects were discussed for further meetings . The afternoon was spent packing Christmas cards } and counting Canada Packer Labels. Lunch was served by Mrs.L.McCausland and Mrs .M.Anderson. In a notice on page 4 the date of a meeting for lady golfers is announced as March 4th. This should be FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25th. Several lady curlers of the Terrace Bay Curling | Club participated in out-of-town bonspiels over the weekend. The Peggy Wellings rink of Vivian Gresdal, third, Louise Gavin, second and Aggie Sinkins lead, won the first event, beating out the Muriel Nesbitt rink of Fort William. (Continued page 10)
