1966 January 6 NEW TREND INDICATED?? Less than 20% of the eligible voters in Longlac voted in their municipal elections earlier this month. The lack of interest in municipal affairs indicated in Longlac, and the difficulty observed in getting competent nominees for office, has been duplicated in many other communities over the past few years. To those who are interested in municipal affairs a situation like this seems deplorable. And yet, we wonder if it may not indicate a trend toward some | other type of management of the affairs of these communities. If a serious study was made and those who do not vote interviewed, would it show that some type of regional or managerial government would be more popular? This feeling of the pulse of the people might be a project for active local clubs or Chambers of Commerce. SOCIAL & PERSONAL Home for Christmas with Reeve and Mrs. W.
