Minutes and treasurer's report were given by Mrs. Lil Harris. Two new ladies and a visitor were welcomed by the Chairman along with a very good turnout of members. Brownies Leslie Rhae Thompson and Susan Whalen from the First Pack, Carla Calder and Claudette Stevens from the Second Pack and Sheila Ballentine and Marilyn Kujbida from the Third Pack were accompanied by Mrs. Dorothy Thompson, Brown Owl, to present the boxes of old nylons they had collected. Accepting the nylons, Mrs. Graham told the Brownies the ladies would pack and ship them to the Rehab- ilitation Centre in the Lakehead. They were given treats by the Auxiliary to take back to their Brownie Packs. The members spent the afternoon sorting and counting Canada Packers labels and they, too, brought donations of children's toys for the children's tables at the Christmas Bazaar, Saturday November 20th, in the Community Church basement. There will be no meeting until January as the Afternoon Group plans to join the Even- ing Group for their Christmas programme in December, served the tea and luncheon. POPPY DAY TEA President Lorette Solly and Mrs. Jean Fisher, Tea Convener, spent a busy afternoon Thursday greeting guests who arrived at St. Martin's Parish Hall for the Poppy Day Tea held by the Ladies* Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, in Terrace Bay. The Tea Table, covered in a white linen cloth, was centred with a wartime motif por- traying men and vehicles of the three forces, and seated at the silver services during the afternoon were: Mesdames J, Lawrence, A. J. McKechnie, E.Fedorak, Charter member from Red Rock Branch, D. Marcella and C. Bajkiewicz and J. Mercier. Individual tea tables held miniature war motifs and to these the servitors were: Misses V. Daley, M. Coupal, K. Edmunds, L. Ballentine, L. Woodruff, H. Boyd and L. Law- rence. Replenishing were Mesdames D. Coupal, A. Spzak, D. Ballentine and S. Benko. Taking tickets was Mrs. E. Ruzyski.Mrs. Gusul had charge of the Novelty Table while Mrs. B, Fawcett and Mrs. Mercier convened the Bake Table.
