Page 10 SCOUTS HOLD CAMPOREE AT NEYS The Pic River district Camporee was held in Neys Provincial Park with 63 scouts in eight patrols atten- ding. There were two patrols from Schreiber, four from Terrace Bay, one from Marathon and two from Manitouwadge. District Commissioner R.Wills was camp chief and A.D.C.Tom Warren and John Trant of Manitouwadge acted as observers. The scouts arrived on Saturday morning and set up campsite, watched by observers. The afternoon was taken up with patrol projects and preparation of supper. More work on camp sites--a camp fire on the beach ended the first day. On Sunday morning the Roman Catholic Scouts attended Mass in Marathon and a Scouts' Own was organized for Protestant scouts and leaders. Brenda opened her gifts under a gay parasol and later received prizes used for the various con- tests. The guests brought a potluck cold plate lunch. Rev.R.J.S.Inshaw, Rector of St.John's Church and P.R.Bailey, Church Treasurer, were in Sault Ste .Marie last week to attend a session of the Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Algoma.
