Cocks an- nounced the Rosary will be said daily at 2.p.m., during October, and the Discussion Club will re- sume meetings Sept. 22. Mrs. R. A. King of Blind River visited Mrs. Frances Ker- town. : SCHREIBER CATHOLIC GIRLS' CLUB MEET The regular meeting of the Catholic Girl's Club met on September 13th. Anna Fummerton welcomed seven new members Executive attending as follows: A.St. Jean, D. Sisson, L. Comeau, E. McCouan, D. Singleton, M. Karnes, and P. Fournier. L. Sisson reported the enrolment to date is sixty- one, with fifty-three members present . G. LeBlanc read a letter of thanks from Rev. Sister Irene. K. McGrath, Spirtual Convenor, commended the members for their faithful attendance at Mass during the summer recess. Mrs. H. Shack, Director, Course given by the St. John Ambulance, will begin this month, when twelve girls of St. John's Anglican announced the First Aid Church will join the club for the lessons. A. Huard will attend Business College in Winnipeg this year. Mrs. R. Bailey left last week to attend a Conven- tion of the Order of The Eastern Star, in Toronto, as a delegate of Silver Birch Chapter. Mr. Bailey will join her and they will visit their son re and family in Ottawa. The congregation of the Gospel Mission held a dinner party in the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. Topolinsky, to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Lawrence (newlyweds) of Sault Ste. Marie, who have come to make their home in Schreiber . Many beautiful wedding gifts were presented . A memorial to the late Rev. R. Crook was dis- cussed and one suggestion given serious considera- tion, with the decision to be made at a later time. Mrs. T.P. Whent presided for the meeting on September 3rd, the first following the summer recess with others to be held on the regular night.
