- May 28, 1964 GOLF NEWS Due to crowded conditions we have experienced this past few days, we regret the following steps will have to be taken. Effective immediately any one under 14 years of age playing golf will have to be accompanied by an adult. Starting June 25, Juniors 14 years of age and under will only be allowed to play on week-days--they will not be allowed on the Course Saturday, Sunday and holidays. We are experiencing incidents where golf balls are being picked up by boys before the golfer has had a chance to reach it. This practice must stop. Anyone not a member, or not paid green fees, will not be allowed on the course and fairways. We would like about eight or ten boys, 12 years of age and over, to caddy and retrieve lost balls. Anyone interested can leave their name at the Club House with Mrs. McKechnie. Also, this week we should have score cards with our local club rules printed on the back. Please read same carefully. The club house should be ready shortly and No.5 and 9 fairways should be seeded this week. We ask the continued co-operation of all members in order that we may get this club started in a proper and business- like manner. Thank You!
