Ow 'os SUPERIORS ELIMINATED Terrace Bay Superiors were eliminated from the Intermediate Playoff trail by the Warroad Lakers. Down two games to one after the first three games in Terrace Bay, the Supes lost two straight in Warroad by 13 - 1 and 4 - 3 scores. Once more it proved a case of too much Allie Reynard as the big Laker goalie made 42 saves in the 13-1 game and 36 in the 4-3 game. Over the 5-game series, he averaged between 35 and 40 saves per game and many of them were "bigt saves. Warroad now meets Flin-Flin for the Manitoba-Thunder Bay title. Ending what must be considered a most successful season, Superiors express sincere thanks to their many supporters. SATURDAY FILM SHOW Recent film show attendances have been very poor and it is hoped that turnouts will improve for future presentations. The movies are provided by the Recreation Association for the benefit of the public, especially the youngsters, but the past few turnouts would indicate that perhaps they should be discon- tinued, because of lack of interest. This Saturday's feature stars Marjorie Main and Parker Fennelly in "The Kettles on Old MacDonald's Farm", Doors open at 6:30 and show starts at 6.45 P.M. Several enthusiasts have already combined forces to purchase a skeet trap and hopes are that others interested in skeet shooting, target shooting or other forms of gun activities, will join them to form a Club. Anyone interested is asked to contact the Recreation Office NOW. If response is good, an organizational meeting will be called.
