GUIDES AND BROWNIES TO SEE NATURE FILM The Guiders Club met on Monday, March 16th at 8:15 P.M. in the Terrace Bay Community Church Hall. District Commissioner Mrs. S. Mikus opened the meeting with a prayer and also acted as chairman. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary Mrs. D. Desrosier. A film on Nature and Conservation will be shown Friday evening, at 7:30 P.M. in the basement of St. Martints Church. All Guides and Brownies are asked to attend. Terrace Bay Guide Companies will hold a bowling tournament on April 4th at 1:00 P.M. A good turnout is expected. Guiders were reminded of the training session which will be held at Polly Lake in June. A letter was read by District Commis- sioner Mikus which had been received from Mrs. Bickmore expressing pleasure with the program held for Mrs. Gunn, Provincial Commissioner, on her visit. Following the business meeting a two hour training session was conducted with Mrs. L. Downey instructing the Blues and Mrs. Mikus the Browns. These training courses are held to help the leaders get a better outlook and understanding as Guiders. The date of the next training session will be announced later. Mrs. R. Hofland and her committee served lunch at the close of tke session. Mrs. Henry Davis of Fort William visited the Bill Lidkea and Ken Davis" families. Mr. and Mrs. D. FIRST AID COURSE TO START "St. John Ambulance Brigade will have a senior first aid class starting at 7 P.M. sharp Tuesday, March 24th. Also playing here that day were the White River Ban tams who lost by a score of 8 to 4. Following the games, the boys were provided with hotdogs and hot chocolate, the supplies gauged by normal boys' consumption. COUPLE HONORED ON FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY r. & Mrs. Joe Campbell were given a surprise party on their 40th wedding anniversary.
