We urge every family to take part in this work. Crippling disease and accident and pre-natal deformities are no res- pector of persons and their effects on human life and future of our children can be long and painful. It can happen to your child. With Community support, the intolerable burden of such illness or accident can be lightened | and the future made brighter with promise for our little ones. In the district of Thunder Bay each year 329 children have been treated in Lakehead and Toronto centres under the guidance and help of the Crippled Children's Society. Over the last few years in Marathon, Heron Bay and Port Caldwell, 14 children have received medical care and treatment through this organization and in Terrace Bay 13 children have been aided This includes attending clinics, surgery, crutches and limbs, physiotherapy, visitation regularly by a trained nurse in this field and local medical care. Some of the children re- quire periodic attention while others will need special care continuously for several years, You will note that the pink return envel- opes for your donations have been re-addressed to the Bank. This is to help our treasurer of the Easter Seals Campaign Fund, Mr.Paul Boud- reau, with his work of receiving donations in both communities and establishing credit for each area. We are grateful to the Toronto- Dominion Bank of Marathon and The Imperial Ban of Commerce in Terrace Bay for offering their skilled help for the Campaign. This also is i keeping with a general policy established by the Ont.Crippled Children's Society to have al donations received through chartered Banks thus lightening the load on the local treasu- rers.
