Both teams were badly short-handed through in- juries and sickness, and Terrace Bay especially felt the loss of Dave Desrosiers and Dave Whalen. With only a few minutes remaining and leading 6 - 3, Terrace Bay looked to be sure winners. However, Marathon counted two quick goals to make the score 6 - 5, and when Bob Adamo was penalized for icing the puck, matters reached a climax. In the event that the first two games are split, a third game will also be played in Terrace Bay on Friday, March 20th. This series then moves to Dryden or Warroad for comple- tion. Despite a rash of injuries and setbacks, the SUPES have been able to win the North Shore Championship for the third time.
