SUPES TAKE LEAD Terrace Bay Superiors, after dropping the first game of final series to Marathon, bounced back with 5 - 3. and 8 - 3 victories to lead the playoffs 2 games to 1. Fourth game of the series was played on Tues~ day night. Marv. Osmar, named the North Shore's Most Valuable Player earlier, was the sparkplug in both games, providing the "zip" that Supes lacked in their last few contests. Winners of the Terrace Bay - Marathon series will meet the winners of the Warroad = Dryden series. First two games of this Thunder Bay finals are scheduled for the Terrace Bay Arena on March 18th and 19th. If the first two games are split, the third game would be played here on March 20th. ARENA SCHEDULE CHANGE All regular Friday and Saturday Arena events have been cancelled due to the Figure Skating Carnival this weekend. Peewee Hockey playoffs have been changed to Sunday and Flyweight and Atom games have been cancelled. RON SCHOCK SCORES IN N.H.L. HOCKEY Last Saturday and Sunday, Ron Schock, son of Mr. & Mrs. E. Schock of Terrace Bay made his debut in National League Hockey when he played with the Boston Bruins against Detroit on Saturday and Toronto on Sunday. Wheeler EASTER SEAL CAMPAIGN GETS UNDERWAY One of the children who have benefitted from the funds derived annually from the sale of Easter Seals, Sandra, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Steve Fedorak of Terrace Bay, and her parents, were the guests of the Kiwanis Club at dinner in the Hotel on Tuesday night. Sandra, who suffers from a rare spinal ailment, has received treatment at the Ontario Crippled Children's centers at the Lakehead and in Toronto. In this area the Crippled Children's Fund is ad= ministered by the Kiwanis Club of Terrace Bay Inc. Your purchase of Easter Seals supports this work. PEEWEE HOUSE LEAGUE FINALS SUNDAY The Peewee House League finals, originally scheduled for Saturday, will begin Sunday instead. This is necessary because of the Figure Skating Carnival being held on Friday and Saturday. Hopes are that parts of the first playoff games will be held between periods of an Intermediate gamq. However, regardless of times, the first game will be held on Sunday. Coaches and players will be in- formed of times during the week.
