Turner with their family are home from a camping trip to Superior, Duluth and St. Paul, Minnesota. Errol Morres son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Moores has gone to Montreal for the next year and will attend Two Mountains School there. Dr. and Mrs. M. McCausland accompanied their daughters Molly and Pat to Toronto last week. Both girls will attend Bishop Strachan School this year. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. G. Galvin over the holiday weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Shipman and Mr. and Mrs, W. Mullikan of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, also Miss Shirley Tuomi and Wes Peckett of Port Arthur. Mr. and Mrs. J. Cumming with Pamela and Jamie motored east for their holidays, Mrs. Gumming and the girls visiting Jim's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Cumming in Toronto while Jim went on to Digby, Nova Scotia to take a Basic Indoctrination course for Sea Cadets at H.M.C.S. Cornwallis. The Cummings mow have as their guest, Mrs. Cumming's sister, Mrs. Jessie Jewison of Portage la Prairie, Man. Mickey, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Valiquette left for Toronto on Friday and will attend the Christian Brothers Jr. Boys College in Scarborough. Wendy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Duncan has enrolled at Port Arthur Collegiate for the coming term. Mr. and Mrs, T. Fedun, David, Patricia and Valerie enjoyed last week in Keewatin with her parents, and in Kenora with his Mother Mrs. J. Fedun who returned home with them for a visit here. Valerie was patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, the week prior to their vacation. Veronica Fedun leaves Wednesday for Kenora where she will take her Grade 13 this year. Staff Sgt. and Mrs. R. Shrine and family left Tuesday for their home in Camp Borden, after a visit with her brother Gordon Calder and family. Mr. and Mrs. A. Lacroix of LaSarre, Quebec are vacationing woth their daughter, Pierette Valiquette and family for two weeks. Fred Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Anderson, will live with his uncle, Mr. E.D. Gary Fraser, son of Mrs. Vi Drexler, is attending Lakeview High in Port Arthur this year. : Norine Scowen and Eddie Kenney have returned from taking an Ontario Athletic course at Lake Couchiching,.Ontario as representatives for Grade XI of the Terrace Bay High School. Mrs. Esdmond Morgan and children of Hamilton and Mr. and Mrs. G. Savoie and children of Atikokan visited with Mr. and Mrs. D. LaPorte this past month. Gary Gresdal left Monday for Saskatchewan to play hockey for the Regina Pats next season, Gary was selected after attemding the training camp in Montreal in August. He has already chalked up one season playing for Fort William Canadians, Sixteen year Gary will attend school in Regina. The Terrace Bay Amateur Hockey Association will hold a special meeting on Monday September 9th, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recreation Centre. KENMAC*S WIN FASTBALL With both teams experiencing difficulty in fielding a complete squad because of holidays, work commitments, etc., KENMAC'S defeated OSMAR'S in the best two of three fastball finals held at the local diamond last week. Games were hotly contested, but the improved brand of ball showed lhe results of a more active league. The opportunity to play more ball during the summer improved the performance of both teams. yongratulation to KENMACtS, and we all look forward to an even more successful season next year. SCHOOLS WELCOME STUDENTS For their enrolment of 268 students at St.Martin's Separate School, Principal R.Kenney welcomed four new teachers to his Staff, all with their Ist. Certificates--Miss Joan Rolland of Orillia (Kindergarten) Miss Margaret Hickerson of Hamilton, Miss Clare Colton of Kinburn and Mrs. Janet O'Gradg from Kirkland Lake. Returning to the Staff were Mrs.Yolande Rajotte, Mrs. Verna Vezina, Mr. Ed. McAdam and Mr. W.M.Eckhart,. With an approximate enrolment of 146 for the 1963-64 school term, Principal A.E, Hartman welcomed two new members to the High School Staff--Mr. Gerry Ungar of Chesterfield and Mr. Johan Terpstra from Windsor to teach French, Returning to the Staff are Mrs. Jayne | Coons, Mr. G.V. Coons, Mr. Keith Pelew, Mr. Marvin Steen and Mrs. D. Ollen-Bittle. With an enrolment of 312 students this term at the Terrace Bay Public School, there was a return of the entire staff of the past sea- son:-- Mrs. LaVaughn West, Mrs. Carol Hansen, Mrs. Glorie Miller, Mrs. Dora Trasch, Miss Drena DeGroot, Mrs. T.
