Simmer, : Introduced: by Mistress of Ceremonies, Mrse F,0, Soughton, a cast composed of original members of the Auxiliary, took the audience back to "That Wonderful Year, 1948" when the Auxiliary was formed. The difficulties of getting to their hall, many with young children, and a train always blocking the crossing, were humourously portrayed, as well as the successes of each and every ambitious venture they undertook = a Spring Tea in a raging March blizzard, Bake Sales when the THE sick young men from the Camps, and of course, a very popular Fashion Show even if the audience was mostly mle. Lundberg chaired the preceding meeting of the Auxiliary following an opening Worship led by Mrs, Re Downey and Mrs. Fe Gould accompanying the opening hymn, Minutes and correspondence were read by Mrs, J, Farrell and Mrs, A. Chisholm gave the financial statement, Convenors reporting were Mrs. Haughn for Property and Mrs. Downey; for Program and Lunch, The Manse committee were instructed to proceed with plans to purchase a new rug and menbbrs agreed to complete the bookcases in the study. The President thanked Mrs, Chisholm for ° convening the Runmage Sale and she, in turn, thanked her committee, commended thanks be extended to the Boy Scouts for their assistance at the Sale and on her suggestion a donation would be scnt to the Scout Committee. Mrs, Lundberg also thanked Mrs. D, Mac- Fadyen who had responded to an cmergency and is caring for the children of a train passenger who became ill and had to be re | moved at Terrace Bay and taken to hospital.
