A Judge's panel of two ladies and two gentlemen will decide the winner of six beautiful contestants'on Tuesday night, and the winner's name will be kept secret until the actual crowning on Thursday evening. The panel will make their decision through a questionnaire based on personality ~ Appearance - Knowledge of Hockey. The girls themselves will be selling Booster Buttons to the. townspeople all this week and up until game time next week. The proceeds from the sale of these buttons will determine the amount of Prize money. spent and the team's donation to the Miss North Shore Contest. Duquette and M, Hamilton to victory in Dryden last week and retained. the right to represent Northwestern Ontario at the Prov= incial Finals to be held in Toronto February 12th to 16th. This is the fifth time that Peggy has represented Northwestern Ontario in the. Ontario finals and the best wishes of the entire community go with her. Winners of the Ontario finals will go to Regina, Sask. where the Dominion Finals will be staged. Another rink from Terrace Bay journeyed to Chapleau last weekend to take part in their annual 'spiel. Nine rinks froia Terrace Bay were entered in the Schreiber Men's Bonspiel, The rinks were led onto the ice by pipers John Shivas and Donald Lake and V.E.Everitt, CPR Supt. threw the first rock, A. banquet was held in the Town Hall on Saturday evening. The twenty-four rinks entered were, skipped by the following: -Cornell, Cobey, G.Caccamo, Niemi, Ridsdale, McCuaig, Wilkinson, Bedard, Harmer, Sawyer, Slater and Moore, Schreiber, Solly, Coons, MacDonald, Wood, Hamilton, Beddard, Duoice, West and Riley, Terrace Bay, Jacobson, Fort William, Musquash and MoGooey, Rossport. Butch Moore. was Bonspiel Chairman, Neil Ross was MC, and Dre JeM,Cornell, the president, presented a Life Membership to veteran curler Wally Simon, and an honorary meribership to V.EeEveritt.
