Rooms will be equipped with remote control radio and wiring for T.V,. reception will be installed, The Terrace Bay Art Club will hold their annual exhibition this Saturday in the High School Auditorium, Featured for the first time will be a prize donated by T.Eaton Co. for the best painting submitted by a Terrace Bay Art Club member, The painting will be chosen by viewers? vote, Be sure to vote for the painting of your choice, An art film will be shown at 4 in the afternoon and at 9 in the evening, The film will last approximately half an hour and is called "Canadian Landscape", It deals with A,Y, Jackson's approach to painting the Canadian Scenes. School children are welcome . to attend the afternoon showing free of charge, Following the film in the afternoon the draw for the hamper of groceries will take place, At 9,30 P.M, the door prize will be drawn It is an original painting depicting a local autum scene, A ticket to the exhibition entitles you to a chance on this draw. You need not be present to win, Tickets may be purchased from any art club member, Proceeds will be used for art instruction, NOTICE OF MINOR HOCKEY MEETING - There will be a meeting of the Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association on October 27th at 7 P.M, in the small meeting room in the Recreation Centre, All interested persons are urged to attend, The semi annual meeting of the NSHL was _ held in Marathon on Sunday, October 15, 1961. The schedule for the coming season was adopted - opening in Terrace Bay Sunday, Dec. 3, 1961 with the Annual All Star Game, In addition an All Star Game between the East (Marathon -- Terrace Bay) versus the West (Red Rock - Nipigon) will be played in Nipigon Sunday, Jan, 21, 1962. Part of the proceeds of this game will go to Minor Hockey in the District.
