Aug.6th to Aug.1l2th - 26 away. Aug.13 to Aug.19 - 33 away. Aug.20 tO Aug.26 - 37 away. Aug.27 to end of Aug, - 39 away. During this same period, a total of 108 will not leave town for more than a few days. As a result of this survey, the Recreation Association plans to run a 3-week Summer Pro- gramme both at the Playground and at the Swinming area, this programme to end.on July 22nd, Beginning July 24th, a second programme will begin to run through until the end of August, Those remaining in town for the first three weeks in July will have the oppor tunity to take part in a full-scale swinming instruction programme and summer playground programme, Any adult groups planning activities for the first three weeks in July should note that in most cases the number of adults leaving town closely corresponds with the nun- ber of children leaving town for that period, oT ares Sp ES a A IER SUMMER PROGRAMME PLANS The Summer Swimming Instruction Programme and Summer Playground Programme officially . open on Monday, July 3rd, The Swimming Pro- gramme will again be run at the Dam beach site and the Playground Programme at the Pub- lic School bali field. Swimming Programme - Those who wish to take instruction in the 3-week swimming programme, running until July 22nd, should report for instruction at the times indicated on the flyer that will be distributed through the mail shortly. Once again a $1.00 registra- tion fee will be charged, this amount to be refunded to those who attend 75% of the in- struction sessions for the 3-week programme, This is done in an attempt to ensure maximum turnouts for all sessions. : Playground Programme - As in the past, the playeround prograhize will be run as follows:- (a) Children attending swinming lessons in the afternoons will attend playground in the mornings} (b) Those not taking swimming lessons will attend playground in the afternoons, Each Friday is Special Event Day, and all age groups will attend playground on Friday Mornings.
