FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JOHN JARVA, JUNE 2nd Funeral Services for the late John Jarva aged 45, who passed away suddenly at the family pasidence on May 30th were held on June 2nd from St.Andrews: United Church at 2 P.M. with Rev. R.A.Crook, B.A., officiating. Two hymn "Unto the Hills and "Abide with Met were sung, Pallbearers were, D,Souliere, J. Halonen, W. Whent, W. Paradis, A.Moorey, E.Holmes and Guards of Honour were formed by Schreiber Br. *09 Canadian Legion and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainment. The Masonic Lodge #662 held a service at the Gawley Funeral Home on Thursday evening, Mr, Jarva was born and educated at 'Schrei- ber, the son of Mr.& Mrs, W.Jarva. He married the former Mary Danylevich in Schrei- ber.Surviyings besiles his wife, are two daughters, Marlene and Sharon, at home--a sister, Mrs, Dan Sparkes and a brother, Walter, both of Fort William, Attending from out of town were Mr.& Mrs. W. MILKS Funeral Services for the late J, S.Mil iks aged 44 who died on Friday were held on Mon- day at 10 A.M, from St,John's Anglican Church with the Rev, R,J.S,. A member of the Schreiber Branch, Canadian Legion 109, Jack went overseas with the 18th Medium Battery in 1940 and gave up his Ser- geant!s stripes to go into action in France with the Third Medium Battery. While in England he married the former Sue Carnell and together they came to make their home in Schreiber, Jack returned in 1945 to the C.P,R.
