Latour of Terrace Bay, which had been parked in the parking lot of the Terrace Bay Motor Hotel, COMETS WIN OPENING DOUBLE~HEADER Terrace Bay Comets came up with a double victory over the Red Rock Paper Kings on Sunday 3-2 and 5-3, Red Rock scored twice in their half of the first inning and Terrace Bay Came back with three_runs in their half, and that was the scoring, Carl Kolody and farry LeSarge pitched fine ball for the remainder of the game, LeSarge gave up 6 hits and Kolody 5 hits, Carl Kolody was hit in the head by a pitched ball, but continued in the game to pick up his first victory of the year. In the second game LeSarge again started for Red Rock and was nicked for 7 hits, Rex ~ Taylor started for the Comets and looked good, despite being hampered by a bad leg. Don Wilkinson took over the pitching in the 5th inning and got credit for the win, with LeSarge taking his second loss of the day. Ray Hansen paced the comets in the two games, with 3 hits, while Ron Schock had a triple and Maurice Osmar a double.
