Michael Cosgrove M.C!d a programme which was thoroughly enjoyed by those present. Items presented by members of the Teen | Town Club included an Impersonation of Louie ' Prima and Keeley Smith, done by Jazzy Potvin : and Marlene Birch; a Skit, portraying ' Schreiber High Students of 1980, as football players and cheer leaders; a Shadow Opera- tion (which drew appreciative chuckles from | the audience) and other skits done by Jackie | Gordon and Freddie McColeman. ' Highlight of the evening was the choosing lof the Teen Queen. Contestants were Darlene 'Heinrich, Carole Jacobson, Erika Vitols and : Brenda Ligkea: Contestants made appearances ; Clad in both bathing suits and party gowns and each displayed their talent. The Teaching Staff of the Schreiber Public School held open house on Friday evening when over 100 parents attended to interview the teachers and to hear -- on the progress of their children. Those attending were WL coded by members MRS. H. JARTUS HONOURED BY AMBULANCE BRIGADE Mr. W.J. Cringle, Division Superintendent, presided for the-meeting of St.John Ambulance Nursing Division last week. Mr. W.Olson read the minutes and a letter from G.A.Scott of the Minor Hockey Association requesting mem- bers of the Brigade to attend future hockey games, Members wish all organizations holding public functions and who wish first aid assistance, to call on them and to contact the Superintendent. Following the meeting a social was held when Mrs.Helen Jartus was presented with a gift by Mrs.Saimi Willoughby on behalf of the group, in recognition of her past services as Division Superintendent, a position which she has held since formation of the Schreiber Brigade six years ago until her retirement in October, 1960. A special cake, made for the occasion by Mrs. Dorothy Rummery, was a fea- ture of the lunch served by members. GIFT PRESENTED TO MRS. HIL@éN GROVER A 'No-Hostess! party was held at the home of Mrs. Robert Fournier recently when twenty- six friends were present to honour Mrs, Hilee Grover who leaves shortly for Prince Rupert, B.C. to join her husband in their new home there, The evening was spent playing cards and Mrs.Fournier presented a gift to Mrs.Grover on behalf of thirty-eight of her friends, Lunch was served by Mrs.Fournier, Mrs, Jessie McCanna, Mrs.Marg.Johnson, Mrs.Helen Jartus and Miss Lorraine Fournier, SCHREIBER HIGH HOME & SCHOOL Mai TING Schreiber High Home and School will hold their regular meeting on Monday evening, March 20th at 8:15 P.M. inthe High School, 'An interesting film will be shown and it is also nomination night. #VERYONEZ IS URGED Pupils of Mrs.Smitheman who successfully passed their Theory examinations are:- Grade 2 - Mr,C.
