Mr.J,Herbert Dawson, District Director from Port Arthur was present and gave a detailed report on the recent work of the Society, mentioning the expansion of all phases of the work, Plans were laid to try and form a central Christmas Cheer Committee. Grace was pronounced by Rev,J.R,Anderson and Mr.A.Farrow, President introduced the guests. Head table guests included Reeve J.Ferrier and Mrs.Ferrier, Rev, Anderson and Mrs.Ander- son, Mill Manager R.G.Shirriff and Mrs. Shirriff, Mr.Ralph Lindberg, Kiwanis Club President and Mrs.Lindberg and, from Marathon, Mr.& Mrs, Harold Parker and Mr.& Mrs. John Homan. Guest speaker of the evening was the League Fieldman, Mr,Al Fisher who brought greetings from the Lakehead Chapter and the League Staff and discussed his position as advisor. STAN HODGKISS VISITS THE CRISSONtS IN BERMUDA Stan Hodgkiss, who recently returned from vacationing in Bermuda, reports that he had an _ enjoyable visit with Herb and Gwen Crisson while there, Their family now includes Heather who was born in Terrace Bay, Jennifer and six month old Herbert, | Herb is self-employed at his profession of Civil Engineer and also manages a real estate business, taken over from his late father, A building and construction boom on the island has kept him very busy for some time, Stan's visit included a trip to the site of the Crisson's beautiful new home which, while it will conform strictly to typical Bermudian structure and appearance, will contain many of the latest North American home and efficiency improvements, An interesting feature will be the name of this new home. In Bermuda, there are no street numbers. Houses are identified by either dis- tinctive names or by names associated with the owners, In the case of the Crisson's present home, it is known as "Bland House" as.
