Donald Farrow was chosen as President, Betsy Ferrier will serve as Vice-President and Wendy Duncan is Secretary-Treasurer, Various committees were formed within the group and meetings will be held every Sunday evening in the Church Hall at 8,30 P.M. CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE HOLD MEETING The Catholic Women's League held their regular meeting Sunday evening in St.Martin!s Church Hall, Mrs. F,Cruickshank, first Vice President, presided in the absénce of Mrs, Helmink, The meeting opened with the League prayer by Very Rev, Dean E,A,Gallagher,. The Recording Secretary, Mrs, G,Dashkewytch read the minutes of the last meeting and Mrs. 4.Fedun gave the Treasurer's report. Various convenors were asked to present their reports and Mrs, C,Knauff presented the statement on the Fall Bazaar held October 8th, thanking all her committee for their assistance to~ wards this successful project. Mrs, W.J. Cavanaugh thanked her committee in the Tea Room and complimented the C,Y,0. girls on _ their assistance. The meeting concluded with the singing of "Holy God We Praise Thy Name" and "0 Canada". Luncheon was served by Mrs. C,.MacDonald and her October committee. GIRLS VISIT LADIES AUXILIARY GROUP The C.G,1I,T, members paid their annual visi to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Terrace Bay Community Church on October 3rd and assisted in their program. Margaret Anderson accompan- ied the opening hymn and Maryellen Reynolds read the Scripture lesson. Members were led in prayer by Barbara Sweet, The President of the Auxiliary, Mrs. V. Galvin, welcomed the members and the twenty- seven girls present then called on the Secre- tary, Mrs. A.Farrow to read the minutes and correspondence, The Treasurer's report was given by Mrs, Helen West, Convenors reports were received from Mrs, Tina Young - Sick & Visiting; Mrs. Vivian | Rapke - Publicity; Mrs. Helen Brooks - ---- | who announced that Mr. W.F.Colborne would talk 'Education for Peace? at the next meeting. She also reported for the Afternoon Group and requested that anyone with skates to donate should contact Mrs.Ostling or Mrs. Shivas. Mrs,Pat Kelly and Mrs, Elva MacMillan requested small articles which could be sold at the Children's Christmas Tree ar the Bazaar Members agreed that Bibles be presented to all children christened, in the home as well as in the Church, Those wishing to place flowers on the Altar in Memorium or for an anniversary are to contact Mrs.Bea Williams. The business portion of the meeting conclu- ded, Mrs.Brooks welcomed the C.G,I.T. girls and their leaders who presented for the Auxiliary "Scenes from World Fellowship".
