E.Q.Jennings, assisted by Dean HE, Gallagher, Father jlex Greengrass and parish priest Father J,ii,Cano, officiated, The girls were dressed in dark blue or red skirts, white blouses, red ribbon tics and red beanies, The. boys' outfits were dark trousers, white shirts and red ribbon arm- bands, For the occasion the alter was decor- ated with red and white carnations, His Excellency commended the children on their knowledge of Catechism. In his remarks he said that the Sacrament of Confirmation made them more adult in their religion even though they were still children; that they now had a duty to defend their faith and live up to it more strongly.
