The Committee in charge have completed ' arrangements for a Memorial Service to be | held at the Cenotaph at 11:00 A.M, ; lic are cordially invited to attend, The Pub- Veterans are asked to fall in outside the Arena at 10:30 A.M, and parade to the Ceno- taph, All school children, Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides and Brownies are asked to attend the service which will be conducted this year by Very Reverend Dean E,A, Gallagher of St, Martin's Church, The occasion will mark the first public appearance of the Terrace Bay Band under the direction of W. F. Colborne, In the evening a dance has keen arranged featuring music by Adamo from 9 P.M, to 1:00 A.M. The place is, the Moose Hall and every- one is welcome, Anyone desirous of laying a wreath at the Cenotaph please contact Ralph Lindberg, a KIWANIS CLUB REPORT RECORD X-RAY ATTENDANCE The local Kiwanians who assisted with the Mobile X-Ray clinic which visited Terrace Bay last Tuesday and Wednesday reported an en- viable record of health-conscious residents A record of 911 adults which included Highschool students, were X-rayed and Dr.M, McCausland and his assistants skin ' tested approximately five hundred school-age children, Thanks go out to all those who assisted with this venture - Mr. C,E, Paget, Area Sur- : vey Chairman; Mr. Ralph Lindberg, Publicity; _ Mr.Alex MacDonald, Clinic Chairman; Mrs. John . CUBS TO SELL LIGHT BULBS Next Saturday, November 7th, the Terrace Bay Cubs will be selling lightygbulbs, house to house, The money earned by{the boys will be used to buy equipment and books needed to operate the weekly meetings. This is not a donation, Bulbs will be sold at current prices, Your purchases will further the work of this most worthy organ- ization, CREDIT UNION MEMBERS ELECT NEW OFFICERS Members and friends of the Terrace Bay Credit Union met in the Moose Hall on Satur- day, November 24th to enjoy their annual get- together and elect officers for the coming | j: year, At 6:30 P.M, a delicious turkey dinner was served by the Women of the Moose at tables adorned with bouquets of gold and bronze mums, Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Mr, Al Pattison. Purdy of the Cuna Mutual Insurance from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Following dinner, Mr.Farrow, President of the local group, opened the business part of _ the evening by calling on Mr. H,Goodfellow to declare if the required quorum of members wer fEresent,. Annual reports, as set down, were dealt with and election of officers took place. The annual dividend was set at 4% on 1959 shares on a motion by W.Vezina, seconded by S.Boyd. <A maximum of 5% on profits is to be reserved as an educational fund. It was de- cided that a delegate and an alternate be sent to the Ontario Credit Union League Con- vention in Toronto, Don Brearley asked for a vote on writing off items on Suspense / Account and the new disability insurance available was explained by Mr. L. Purdy. He also congratulated the Credit Union in Terr- ace Bay on their achievements, Mr. Vezina also gave a brief report on his trip to the Convention in Toronto and J.A. Ferrier, Reeve of Terrace Bay voiced the good wishes of the Town Council. In his remarks, Mr, R.Shirriff, Mill Manager here mentioned that Kimberly-Clark Corporation warmly support the Credit Union movement and mentioned Mr.Fahrenkrug of Neenah who had been a guest speaker recently at a Credit Union gathering in the Lakehead, He also
