Young, son of Mr, & Mrs, £.S.Young is announced. No date has as yet been set for the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. W.E,Cavanaugh have returned from a vacation in the East, visiting their sons John, Ted, Paul:and Joe,' They motored home with John and his wife Mavis who will spend a week or so in Terrace Bay. Also visiting at the Cavanaugh home are Mrs, H. Chesley and her children Norma and Gregg. Knauff motored to Athens, Ohio and West Virginia, returning to Michigan where they spent some time at Houghton Lake and Ostega. Like many other vacationers they found the heat and humidity unbearable in spots. and were glad to reach the Upper Penin- sula where it was cooler, LOCAL WINNERS AT ROSSPORT DERBY :The weather co-operated last Sunday with the committee in charge of the Rossport Fish Derby and a fair number of anglers partici- pated. The winning fish weighed in at 4 lbs. 7-0z. and was hooked by Audie Schlumpf of Durand, Wisconsin. D. A. Cameron of Fort William won the trip to Bermuda. Tommy Gerow of Terrace Bay hit the jack- pot, winning third prize, Molson's Prize and the Beagle Puppy. Young Teddy Paget, also of Terrace Bay, won fourth prize with a 3°1b. 2°02. fish. Theresa baudit of Schreiber, sixth prize in the list of winners, BRIDGE. & CRIBBAGE, NIGHT THIS THURSDAY The Terrace Bay Nurses are sponsoring a Bridge and Cribbage Night on Thursday, July 23rd at 8.30 P.M. in the Moose Hall, Every- one is invited--the prizes are excellent, Tickets are 75¢ and this gives you a chance on the door prize which is a $25.00 hamper of groceries, The proceeds of this Bridge and Cribbage Night will go to the Retarded Children's Fund. Lunch will be served so make up a table and enjoy an evening of cards and help a worth-while cause, Tickets may be obtained from any nurse or at the door. Bring your own cards if you wish.
