HOLD ST.PATRICK'S TEA ~ Leprechauns and shamrocks on the table and gay green aprons worn by the waitresses gave a festive appearance to the St.Patricki's day tea sponsored by the Cahtolic Women's League last Tuesday afternoon in the Town Hall, when Mrs,H.0'Brien was' the convenor-- Mrs.J.Campbell, the.president, receiving. The servitors were Mesdames P.Pegoraro, P.J. Syvitski, W.D.Graham, H.Shack, R.Spadoni, G.Gauthier, J,Caccamo, M.Ryan, J.C.Gagnon, R.Martyn =, W. ohd Line and the: watholic Girls! Club. The kitchen committee' were Mesdames A, Lemieux, E.0'Driscoll, J. M.MoGrath, W.Lew- icke, F.Woodruff, W, Cook, The tables of other aimee, raffles, sewing, etc., were managed by Mrs. G.Vallain- court, G.Cataford, H.P.,Bourguigrion and E. ~~ Mailette. Mrs, H.JsSheehan was cashier, OPEN HOUSE HELD IN SEPARATE SCHOOL Throngs of 'parents and friends visited the Separate School on March 19th during the =: afternoon -when the annual Open House was held, and all rooms open on display. Sister Mary's room, which is ete taught © -at present by Mrs.Anderson, had books and examination papers on display; grades 4 and 5 had projects on deep sea fishing 'and ocean navigation 'as well as social studies: on Africa. Grades 7 and 8 had Easter exam-papers; '.1 put while grades 1 and 2 showed sailors | and sailboats in a construction display. Grades 5 and 6 showed a project on Africa~and on the Great Lakes system and Grades 2 and 3 | showed a complete model Eskimo village. Many admiring comments were made on a very | .interesting portfolio of religious drawings, | beautifully coloured by the pupils. A large Easter Bunny number tree was displayed at ye front of the room with bright~coloured ~~ rabbits on its branches, All the rooms were bright with St.Patrick and Easter Art' work; A dainty lunch'was served by Mrs. S. Chicoine, assisted by Mrs. G.Gauthier, Mrs, B.Paradis and Mrs.Wayne Wilson... Mrs, Alex Lamb isa patient'in Terrace Bay Hospital and also: Mine V.Winters.
