We trust, however, that some prepar- ations have been made in the district, ICE FROLICS HERE FEBRUARY 28th The Terrace Bay Figure skating Club will present their Awnual Ice Frolics at an after- noon and evening performance in the Arena' on Saturday, February 28th. For good entertain- ment on ice, for the entire fahily, be sure to see Ice Frolics of '59, ICE FISHING STARTS IN DISTRICT. Some enterprising young men have spear- headed Ice Fishing in this District, erecting a shack on Hayes Lake. Phil Stuart, Ray Flewelling, H.Jartus, Bob Krause and Karl Kolody were responsible for the sport getting started locally, It may be the forerunner of anim fishing derby. Do they. catch any fish?. FISH & GAME ASSOCIATION HOLD ANNUAL MEETING A recent meeting of the club was held to receive the annual reports from various committees and to elect officers for 1959, Vice-Pres,. Elmer Persson as chairman, pre~ sented a report reviewing the club's activi- ties during the year, mentioning in particu- lar, that the Nature Trail opened last year had been well received by local people and visitors and that such a response justified further effort to extend the trail and its facilities, He also noted that four resolutions had been originated by the club relative. to matters of fish and game management and that the se had been processed by the parent Fed- eration of Ontario Anglers & Hunters and presented to the Provincial Government.
