SPORTS NEWS, YES}$ WE HAVE ONE-- Through the efforts of our Entertainment Chairman, Howard Solly, we have Procured the services of a good Lakehead orchestra for our New Year's Eve Ball, Howard spent a whole day in the Lakehead and with the help of Joe Charbon and Rocky Albertini, President of the Lakehead Musicians Union he was able to sign' up Vic Arnone and his orchestra, We were, fortunate indeed to obtain the services of an orchestra of this calibre for New Year's, So we are set for the biggest night of the year, Good quality hats and noisemakers and balloons are on hand, Tickets are only $3.50 a couple, They will be on sale . Shortly. All we need to make the party a big success is a good crowd,-- How about it? McDonald phone 3687, Make your reservations early--pick up your tickets later from any executive member, CURLING SCHOOL, In response to many requests we are setting up a curling school under the direction of Len Crockford., The first session will be held this Saturday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. and from 1 P.M, to 2 P.M. Competent instructors will be on hand to instruct novices or experienced curlers trying to iron out the "bugs!" in' their curling. The response to this Saturday's effort will determine whether or not the school will be continued, CHRISTMAS 'PARTY, : Plan on attending this annual affair--all club members, regular or aggociate, male or female, paid-up or otherwise, along ' with their partners are invited, All mixed curling teams curl at 7 P.M, except for the Solly and McDonald teams which will curl at 8:30.
