An appeal was read from the Local Association to Guides and Brownies on the urgent need for leaders, particularly for the Brownies. Ways and Means Convenor, Mrs.Esther Keller, gave a thank you from Mrs.Phillis Kelty for another very successful Rummage Sale and to all who made it possible. Mrs,Keller announced all was in readiness for the Fall Supper Thurs- day evening with Mrs.Lois Hopper as convenor. She announced the Fall Bazaar would be held next month when there would be a good supply of gifts available, Christmas stockings etc., Orders are being taken for Christmas cakes, These cakes will sell for $2.50 each for approximately 25 Ibs. and will be ready for the Bazaar on Nov. 15th. Last year many people were disappoigted 'when they left their orders too late. Anyone wishing one or more of these cakes are urged to°call Mrs.Paget 3242 or Mrs. McCausland 3234 now. Closing day for orders is October 31st. _ Mrs.Downey sent a request for cookies for the Cookie Tree at the Bazaar. Mrs,Evelyn Shivas gave her Property report. Dean J.C. McHugh, V.F. solemnized the marriage in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber, of Carmelina Venziano, of Schreiber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Mauro Venziano of Curinga, Italy, and Luigi Sgarbossa, of Fort William. Mrs, Pat Mulligan was the organist and Raymond Guillet the soloist. The ushers were Cosimo Diano and Frank Speziale., Frank Michelozzo of Fort William was best man; The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Frank Venziano, was gowned in nylon lace and net charmingly combined, the sheer full skirt over hoops and the lace bodice with long sleeves and draped neckline, Her lace-bordered veil was held by a crown of silver sequins and pearls and bouquet was pink and yellow roses and white button mums. Miss Diano, the bridesmaid, chose coral nylon with all-over embroidery in coral and silver thread. The strapless bodice was complemented by a sleeved, jacket and the bouffant skirt ornamented 'by a three tier dust ruffle. She carried coral roses with blue and white carnations and wore a feather bandeau in coral, Anna Figliomeni, the flower girl, wore azure blue chiffon with shirred bodice finished with Bertha collar tied into a soft bow with trailing ends. She had a circlet of swirled net and carried a nosegay of white and yellow baby muns centred with pink rose. The wedding party was held in the home of Mr.& Mrs. Joseph Speziale when the punch was served by Peter Commisso and music for dancing played by Frank Diano, | (Cont'd Page '21.
