VANDALISM AT SCOUT CAMP The Terrace Bay Boy Scout Camp at White- sand has, been subjected to a violent, malicious attack by vandals. Windows have been shot out of the Camp with resulting bullet, holes penetrating tents and other equipment hanging inside the camp, The pump and motor at the spring has been shot up and damaged. The Police have been notified about this vandalism. The Boys Scout Group Committee appeals to the hunters in the area to re- spect this property and the property of others. It is difficult to understand the kind «of individuals who would lower themselves to acts of vandalism, How anyone can derive any pleasure in deliberately destroy- idg property of others is beyond the average person's comprehension, We can only hope that the individuals concerned will be appre apprehended and their license to carry firearms is revoked. Last Friday, October 3rd, eighteen of our High School students participated in a three school Track and Field meet at Marathon, A Trophy, emblematic of victory, was presented for competition by the Terrace Bay Kiwanis Club in 1953; five years later, in 1958, Terrace Bay High School still is unable to _place this trophy in their display ¢ase.
