The festivities be- gan with the parade from the Legion Club led by the Lakehead Girls! Cooke, conducting the service, Following the divine service a reception was held in the Church Hall when Dr. Lavender, Andrew Grier, Rev. Crook's career before and after deciding upon entering the Ministryoffice worker, contruction worker, ;salesman, even at one time a pick-and-shovelman, saying this varied work | would give him a working understanding with people far beyond any set curriculum studied, Mr. Crook, whose home had been in Letellier, Man, first studied in Toronto, but after six _ months there entered United College in Winnipeg where he graduated this past June. He has spent two years as student minister in St. Charles- Headingly district, near Winnipeg, servi- ng various Churches, With the party attending from the Lakehead were Mrs. A.
