TERRACE BAY MALE CHORUS PAKTICII -aTES IN AMC. a SING AT EAU CLaIRE, WISC. Last entin 20 members of the @eoxtdod Bay Male Chorus, witht some of their wives, travelled to Eau Claire, to take part in the Wisconsin and Upper Midwest District (Assoc+ iated Male Choruses of America) 1958 Massed Sing. This year's Sing was bigger and better than ever, since there are now two districts _ represented, and altogether, -18 choruses from_ 'these districts, including the Fort William Male Chorus and Terrace Bay Male Chorus, representing Canada, joined their voices to make this a most unforgettable performance. To see' 550 men:assembled on the stage of the 'huge Eau Claire Memorial High School is amazing in itself, but to hear them sing en masse is thrilling beyond words, and those who: were fortunate' enough to attend this concert were well rewarded. Two solo numbers were sung by our "Male Chorus - "Seirenade™ and "Blue Moon" - and the community. of Terrace bay may be justifiably proud of the reception and applause given to our men, not only because of their excellent (cont'd next col.) singing, but also because they had travelled ~ the farthest of any group to take part in this Sing, thus indicating their-keen-enthus~ iasm, 'Friends and supporters of the 'Terrace Bay Male Chorus will have the opportunity of hearing them again this year on May 16th, when they will present their Spring Goiicebt in the High School Auditorium, Curtain time is 8:15 p.m., and prices are as follows: 4dults 75¢, Children 35¢. The intermission artist will be Mr. Ross Wilson at his Hammond Organ. Since next year's Big Sing will be held in Minneapolis, our fellows are going to need all the financial support they can get, so be sure to do your bit by coming out to hear them sing. Canvassers will be calling at your home in the near future, and don't just buy .a Ether - come' out and give them a hand. | % & & * * GRANT KELLY JOINS KIMBERLY -CLARK INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING STAFF On May 5, Grant Kelly, a 1958 graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto, commenced working for the Kimberly Clark Fulp & Faper Company Limited in the Industrial Engineering Department, Grant was born in Oshawa, Ontario but °' moved to Toronto at an early age where he © recéived his schooling.
