Immediate Past President, Pegsy Wellings thanked the outgoing executive for all their wonderful work and cooperation given in the past and assured the new President of every assistance for the coming year, Reports were given by M, Dashkewytch, Secretary; Audrey Rowley, Treasurer; Aggie Sinkins, Entertainment; Norma Crockford, Prizes; Ann Latour, sfusto%e, and Ida Ronaniuk Membership. As Chairman of the Bonspiel, Betty Bov- chard gave her report on the success o* the annt.al borispiel and thanked all those who gave their assistance, Following elections, mmner-up prizes were presented by Norma Crockford to the S. Duquette rink wit Dene Clancy, L. Havi- land and B. Maciadyen in the Hudson's Bay event. Runner-up in the Seagram event was presented to A. Sinkins rirk, with A. Rowley A. Blom and C. Hall. Kennedy and J, Biggar, After a period of hilarious games and contests with various prizes given to winner the social evening wovnd up with lunch and 'refreshments thoroughly enjoyed by all, HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY The weather bureau tells us we're break- ing records; record temperatures, record low precipitation and record consecutive days of sunshine. All this is fine, and at present there is plenty of moisture in the earth for bulbs, shrubs, perenials, etc., but a shortage Lay of rain now may have a far reaching effect (cont'd next col.)
