Both games are with Nipigon Flyers and both games have to be won in order to hold any security at all for second place. The game tonight, Thursday, at Nipigon is the one we have to worry about, as the Superiors record at Nipigon does leave a little to be desired, If the weather is at all good a large turn-out of Terrace Bay fans will help. Should the Superiors come out in second place of the League, the play-off will be with Nipigon Flyers, leaving Marathon and ined xock to fight for a win to the championship, If we lose to Nipigon, and ied Kock take Marathon and Nipigon in the three games they have left to play then Superiors will be forced into play-offs with Marathon and that could be tough. / On the basis of last week-end games hockey fans can look for Superiors to win their two remaining games against Nipigon. The Superiors ee & Sunday played the kind of hockey they are capable of playing, and more important they looked like a club capable of working and digging together. The kind of teamwork they displayed last week-end can carry them through to Terrace Bay's first North Shore League "ampionship. For details on last Saturday's and Sunday's games see page 6, The schedule calls for Nipigon to meet Superiors at Terrace Saturday, Feb. 15 but the game has been rescheduled to play SUNDAY Feb.16 2:00 p.m. at Terrace. This will be the final game So at this game the draw will be made for the winner of the watch and fuel oil. The draw is from the numbers on the programs which the girls are Selling at the door at all hockey games. Stock up on a few this Sunday. The winner must be present at the time of the draw. February 13, 1958 TEKAACE BAY LaDIES WIN NOhTHWESTERN ONTARIO CUKLING CHAMPIONSHIP Once again Terrace Bay Congratulates Peggy Wellings, Ann Latour, Ida Komaniuk and Sylvia Duquette for Capturing the Northwestern Ontario Ladies Curling Championship, This win makes the girls eligible to play for the Frovincial Championship being held this year in Fort William. With such fine Curling done in the North- western Ontario Flaydowns, you can be sure the girls have given all they have to come out in front, and have also proven that although Terrace bay may be a small town, the curling world realizes they have Something to contend with in the future, We are proud of the success in you girls and wish you all the Provincial Ylaydowns, CONGRATULA ME ORD Oa wg JOB WELL DONE y ! inet h tlieailalia gia LL HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY NEWS LUE NEWS, Yes, we lost again last Friday night but those who saw the game agree that Lt isn't lack of Spirit that keeps our boys way down there in the cellar.
