Vol, 7, No, 33 £ Ae vy M.P-P.!S TO VISIT TERRACE BAY WEDNESDAY -- AUGUST 28TH Next Wednesday August 28th a party of fifty members of the Ontario Legislature will arrive in Terrace Bay in conjunction with their tour of Northwestern Ontario. It is expected that the party will be headed un by Premier Leslie Frost. Other cabinet ministers expected are Minister of Lands and Forests Clare Mapledoram, and Mines Minister Spooner, They will be accanpanied by a staff of civil servants, including representatives of lands and forests, mines and planning and development departrents. They will be guests of the LongLac Pulp and Paper Company at a luncheon at the Hotel Terrace. They will be taken on a tour of the town and the mill property. Purpose of the tour is to acquaint the M.P.P.'s with the progress of development in Northern Ontario, After leaving Terrace Bay the members will visit Sudbury, Blind River, Sault Ste, Marie, Marathon, Manitouwadge and North Bay. The group are scheduled to return to Toronto on September lst, We are fortunate in having this distin- guished group of government representatives visit Terrace Bay on their tour, We trust that they will enjoy their visit, and that their tour of Northwestern Ontario will be rewarding and successful. Series "A" will pit the powerfi 1 Maint enance Team against the 3rd place finisher while series "B" will have Salary playing against the 4th place team, Spectator interest has increased towards the schedule's end, as close games were waged to determine play-off positions, Larger crowds however are anticipated once the play- offs begin. Maintenance have been picked favourites to win the championship, but the other three teams will be out to disprove this theory.
