The chances of getting teachers from Southern Ontarina are very slim and teachers must be recruited in Northern Ontario. At the present time in Northwestern Ontario we are only graduating one student per 1,000 of population and this is not nearly enough to provide for all the pro- fessional needs, The objective is to grad-. uate 3 per year per 1,000 of population in order to have enough trained people, Great encouragement and help is needed by the parents in order to show the students the advantages of a professional life"and™ to keep them from straying into "big money" jobs now which lack the essentials of fute.. ure development and advancement, He also pointed out that the setting up af a Lakehead Technical Institute should enable more students to get a better educa~ tion, Any courses taken at the Institute (Cont. on page 7 )
