Volume 5, No. 38 SCOUT CAMP WORK PARTIES There will be two work parties at the scout camp at Whitsands Lake this year, We intend to clean up and burn as much of the dead brush lying around as possible, also the camp roof has to be braced for winter and the side walls rebraged at a couple of points, The work parties will be on Saturday, September 24th and October lst, This week the party will leave the Post Office at 9:30 asm. We will be there in the aftere noon also so if you can't make it in the morning com in the afternoon, Bring a saw, axe or hammer if you can, Your help will be appreciated by us and your sons, the scouts and cubs, o-O0-0 DON OLLEN-BITTLE RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT OF NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO CONSERVATION FEDERATION On Saturday, and Sunday, September 17th and 18th the above Federation held their semi-annual meeting in Rossport. Approximately 40 to 50 delegates were pre sent representing North Western Ontario from Fort Frances to Hornepayne,. The two day mesting was very success~ ful. Among other motions it is planned to start a conservation contest in all the schools of the North Shore, John Budd, Biologist, Department of Lands and Forests gave a very interest- ing report on lamprey control which report President Ollen-Bittle will make available in the next issue of the Terrace Bay News.
