Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Add almond extract Beat egg whites stiff; fold in. Pour into 2 greased 8" layer pans, Bake in moderately hot oven (375°F,) 25 min. Cool 5 min. from pans; cool on wire rack, Prepare Caramel Frosting; spread between layers and on top of cake, CARAMEL FROSTING 1 1b, (2-1/4 cups) finaly packed brown sugar 1 cup milk 1/3 cup butter margarine Few grains salt 1 tsp, vanilla extract Combine sugar, milk, butter or margarine and salt. The many very beautiful gifts were hidden in a huge mock wedding cake, and included two special surprises from Dorothy's Father, hr. Sam Demas, a chest of Silver and.a silver service for tea and coffee. Assisting the hostess with the luncheon were Peggy Regis and Marilyn Hanley. Mr, and Mrs. F. Morgan of Kapuskasing were weekend guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Jack Kelty, Mr. and Mrs, George Kidd of McKenzie Island were visitors at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Alex Sinkins last week. Mr, and Mrs. George Rowley of East Angus, Quebec are visiting at the home of their son, Jim Rowley and family for ten days. Helen Fedun and family spent the month of August visiting with her parents, Mr, and Mrs, A. Huchulak of Keewatin, Ontario, with Tony bringing them home on Labour Day.
