Volume 5, No. 37 ; 3 LARGEST CIRCULATION IN TERRACE BAY NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO CONSERVATION FEDERATION MEETING IN ROSSPORT SEPTEMBER L7TH AND 18TH This meeting is to be held in Rossport, Ontario on September 17th and 18th, On page 5 is a copy of the two day meeting schedule, Sinday the Rossport fishermen are going to take the visitors out on Lake Superior to show them how the different types of nets are removed from the lake. The guest speaker, John Budd, Biologist, the man who is setting up the Lamprey stations along the north shore will present an outline of the construction and opera= tion of these traps. There will be a dimmer held at the W.I,. Hall on Saturday evening. The public is welcome to attend all meetings, including the dinner, The tickets for the dinner may be obtained at the meet- ings on Saturday. Many of you will remember the meeting held in Terrace Bay this Spring. We had a very interesting get-together. It is hoped that the same amount of interest will be shown in the Rossport meeting. President Don Ollen-Bittle of Terrace Bay will preside over the two day meeting. Let's see you in Rossport on September 17th and 18th. 0-0-0 HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION HOLD FIRST MEETING SSPTEMBER 19TH The first xegular meeting of the Home {nd School Association will be held on Monday, September 19th at 8:15 p.m. in St, Martin's Separate School, Parents of the community and all those interested in our three schools! activities are in- vited. (Cont. on next col.) HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION (Cont.) The teachers will all be introduced by the principals. Come out and meet them. Mr. C, Paget will speak on the speed limits on the public highways. The games will be played in the arena be- ginning at 8:00 p.m, each evening. Hand your names into Clarence Buck, Al Harrison or Dick Jones and you will be notified later as to draw times, o-0~0 BOWLERS A general meeting of the Terrace Bay Bowling Association will be held in the large meeting room of the Recreation Centre at 7:30 pem. on Friday, September 23rd, 1955. The constitution will be presented for approval at this meeting so be sure to act end. So those who didn't see last weeks "News" bowling this year is to begin on September 26th, 1955. o-0--0 ELECTRIC POWER SHUTDOWN All Electric power will be off from 1:00-5:00 p.m, on Sunday, Sept. 25th in the Townsite and North and South Camps.
