Immediately. after the lockers are installed, all managers of the softball league will be given a set of keys allow-~ ing them into the club 'room and again into the equipment locker, We appeal to those responsible for the keys to keep the lockers closed when leaving the premises, and above all to take pride as custodian of the equipment when on the diamond, It is with regret that we must bring to your attention the fact that we are missing not only bats and balls, but also of recent time expensive gloves bought last season, Should anyone know of anybody harbouring any of our equip- ment, we would appreciate their immediate return. As much as we like to see our children "the softball players of: © tomorrow", make use of our equipment, we now find that on our limited budget we must ask the children not to use our equip- ment on scheduled nights of softball, Should at any time youngsters care to take a loan of our equipment for games, we will be glad to oblige, .. ,, it is hoped that the further work promised by the Recreation Associetion such as the overhead canopy, the permanent public address system and an extended "Snow-type" fence in the outfield will soon become a reality. What with the fence up, we will add some ground rules for the benefit of players, In order to meet our obligations in paying off our debts, we are appealing to each team holding a franchise in the Softball Association to conduct a money (Cont. on next col.) . In fairness to your team as well as to the loosers, we repeat, "As the manager of the winning team, please complete the box scores on the forms provided for the purpose, and surrender these immediately to Secretary, John Jeanneret", By Friday, June 10th, the $25.00 entry fee per team must be in the hands of the Secretary as well ag in writing the names of the official del@gate to the Executive Committee and two alternatives, Further, because of the "juggling" of players we also want in writing the names of your players, their recreation association membership number, and the names of the coaches and managers, Players not listed with the team entries will be considered "free-lancers" and as such will be released to teams requiring their services at the discretion of the President who will act according to the wishes of his Executive, No players will be allowed to transfer to another group without also abiding by this ruling. - Managers or coaches are requested to submit the names of their players to the scorekeeper at least fifteen minutes before . Schedule time, so that games will start _ on time, Once again, we believe we have the makings of a great All-Star softball team. We had a visit last Sunday afternoon from Schreiber, and though their strongest aggregation was not on hand, we came on top of a 23-1 score, All-Star Softball practises are called for every Friday evening at 6:30, Those interested in (Cont. on page 7)
