RECREATION FLYaR ROLLER SKATING ' We wish to let the people know that the. ice is.on its way out now, Yes a farewell was expressed by all those who were out skating last, Sunday afternoon, We hope to get.our, roller skating started on May 16th at 9:00 p.m. Now that our skates have arrived we are all set to get into the swing of things, Make sure that. you get out to the first Roller. Skating Night ever held in Terrace Bay. TENNIS CLUB This year we hope to form a good Tennis Club with a lot of participators, You do not have to be one of the fancy players of the day but be sure you dig your racket out of storage. We are calling a meeting for all those interested in forming a Tennis Club, Monday, May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in the small meeting room of the Recreation Centre, BICYCLE RIDERS I would like to point out to the parents who have children with bicycles that we would appreciate a word from you to the children that they are not to ride their bicycles up and down the walks outside the Rec. Centre at any time, We are having racks made for the Children's bicycles which we will insist that they use. ART CLUB ae Monday night the Art Club » was formed and a committee of five was chosen to help out in the different offices that must be filled, Our comfittee for this season is as follows: President - Jim Cummings Vice-President - Al Stevens Treasurer - Mrs. Carmichel Secretary - Mrs. Bailey and Mrs, Gaulin The starting night of our club will be this Friday in .the large meeting room of the Rec, Centre from §:00-11:00 p.m. A nightly fee was decided to be 10 cents which will be put aside with the thought of opening into other crafts later on, (Cont. on next col.) All the young children in the Public or Separate Schools will start their classes on PIP T. ae 7th from 10: PEO Crt THEN AGE TUMBLING Again this Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. there will be tumbling classes for all those interested. Try and get out if you can. LADIES BASKETBALL There will be a regular practice on Thursday at 8:15 so come on out and let's start rounding this team into shape, LADIES TUMBLING Since the interest in this class is so high the instructor has requested extra time, so from now on the Tuesday night class will be extended to 10:00 p.m, o-0-0 POLIO INOCULATION Sufficient polio vaccine has been promised for the. inoculations of Grade 3 pupils of both schools and the first inoculation will. be held on May 9th at the Schools, Second inoculation to be administered during the week of June 13th, _» Parent request.forms will be sent out with the children for parents _ to sign well in. advance, Those children who have received .first,and second inoculations. will not receive their third one until later on this fall, Dr. M.
